Chapter President
Leads the chapter, sets overall direction, manages the Executive Board, and maintains productive relationships with chapter brothers, the University, the AVC, and district and national volunteers and Headquarters.
Key responsibility areas
- Leads the Executive Board team and its meetings.
- Reviews every officer's commitments and scorecard.
- Resolves cross-functional conflicts and dependencies.
- Serves as the face of the chapter with brothers and with chapter, AVC and university stakeholders.
- Conducts chapter-wide scorecard reviews.
- Reviews compliance, financial, recruitment, academic, conduct and facility risks.

- Accountability
- Sets the tone for the board and the chapter, follows through, and holds others to their commitments.
- Delegation & Empowerment
- Delegates real responsibility to other board members to develop future leaders rather than creating dependence on one person.
- Decision-Making & Judgment
- Weighs chapter-wide consequences, makes values-based calls even when unpopular, and knows when to involve advisors, alumni or Headquarters.
